From recent customers to Sea of Shoes blogger Jane Aldridge and Instagram fashion partnerships director Eva Chen, we’ve seen our Sling silhouette being worn pretty much everywhere these past few weeks. It’s one of our most unique designs, and honestly, this bag is pretty fun to wear: with the pull of a strap, it converts from a backpack to a tote and back again in seconds. The only thing we could think of to make it better was to make it smaller, and so since 2015, the Mini Sling has been a solid member of our repertoire.
In part, the decision to add the Mini Sling was a response to the burgeoning popularity of miniature bags. Creative director Lindy McDonough calls it “the perfect piece for someone who wants the ease of a tote or backpack without the bulk”, which is basically all of us in the summer—the lighter and more versatile, the better. The Mini Sling has a double-layered base to help keep its shape through bike rides or beach runs, and with its interior zipper pocket, even the littlest of items like cards and a phone will stay safe during your adventures.
