We founded Lotuff Leather with the purpose of bringing refinement and a lasting quality to the world of handmade leather goods.
Coming from a strong lineage of American manufacturing, co-founder Joe Lotuff knew what he needed to create the best line of handmade leather goods that could stand the test of time: timeless, logo-free designs, vegetable-tanned leather of unparalleled quality, and a team of American artisans who accepted nothing but the best. After a few starts and stops, Lotuff Leather was truly born. Lotuff Leather began as a partnership with one of the most talented groups of New England artisans, a team who has been mastering the art of the leather bag for decades.
By September 2013, we opened our in-house studio in Providence, Rhode Island to meet demand, expand our line, and double down on New England manufacturing. The Providence studio, run by Creative Director and Rhode Island School of Design alum Lindy McDonough, started small in a long dormant but beautiful brick studio located in the Providence Steel Yard. Over the past two years, we have grown this workshop by training young, talented creatives in the methodical and painstaking ways of quality and craft for which we have come to be known. Their participation and growth ensure that this art will never vanish.
We continue to strive for the best and appreciate your support.
