Product Information

     

    We designed the Sol to be a versatile piece that can be both a true handbag and an all-day crossbody bag. 

    Like our Tripp and Tripp II, it's a triple-gusset, fully leather lined piece. An extended zipper makes interior access easy. The triple-gusset design creates a surprisingly roomy interior that can hold everything you need--cards, phone, and other daily or travel miscellany. With the leather lining, the bag will never fall or flop or look anything other than poised and beautiful. 

    The center gusset is slightly under 3 inches, meaning the main compartment is spacious and wide without being ungainly. It's perfectly sized to fit anything from a case for your sunglasses to a small water bottle. 

    A removable cross-body strap attaches to a small, solid-brass d-ring on each side of the bag, allowing the bag to transform into a true handbag when removed. The two handles make for an elegant hand carry.

      Monogram? 

       

      The monogram on the Sol Handbag is subtly placed on the front center of the bag. The font is Times New Roman and stands about 1/4" in height. You have the option of debossed (not pictured) and gold (pictured).

          The perfect bag does exist.

          I had my eye on the Sol for a solid year before finally hitting the buy button, and I'm glad I did. The dimensions are perfect -- narrow enough to sit close to the body but spacious enough to hold all the essentials plus a bit extra. The three compartment accordion design is extremely functional -- I keep bulky items in the center main compartment, and phone and flat documents on the side slots. Leather quality if fantastic. I can still smell the leather and will admit to taking a wiff every now and then. Hardware is also well chosen. The gold is classy and timeless, not gaudy.

          I got the cordovan and the green....the perfection of the stitching, the attention to detail of the finished edges, the look and feel of the leather, and the design are all exquisite. These bags represent a level of artistry and craftsmanship rarely seen, let alone delivered, anymore. The team who designs and makes these bags obviously take great pride in their work. In a world where "phoning it in", doing just enough to get a paycheck, is the norm, owning something made with this level of dedication to excellence and teamwork is refreshing. I have several Lotuff totes/work bags, which I love, but since COVID I am almost always working from home, and need a small well-organized bag for errands. These will be a joy to use.

          My4th bag. In MAGENTA. WOW. I love the combination of camera bag shape and the short handles. Compared to the Tripp, this has way more room in addition to those card slots and pockets which make a wallet unnecessary. The body of the bag will accommodate phone, glasses, a Hobonichi Weeks Planner or a Midori Travel notebook for you planner junkies, pencil case, whatever. Perfect when you are tired of carrying a tote where everything sloshes around. And the curvature of the base of the bag in just elegant. Nothing extraneous. Lovely...

          My favorite Lotuff bag

          I’ve been buying from Lotuff for years and the Sol is my favorite piece yet. Gorgeous leather and craftsmanship as always, and this size/shape is ideal – big enough to fit everything I need, not heavy, never looks overstuffed or bulky. The short handles dress it up and the crossbody strap makes it easy to wear every day. I didn’t expect to use the card slots, but it’s a great feature and has replaced my regular wallet. The cordovan color is a perfect neutral. Greg and the team provide an exceptional customer service experience and buying from Lotuff is always a pleasure.
