Only problem is that I waited so long to order. The craftsmanship is impeccable. Just the initial smell of leather was worth it.
I absolutely love my Tripp I in black. Such a practical and beautiful piece that I wear literally everywhere. 10/10 highly recommend.
I purchased the Tripp for travel and thought I would limit its use to keep it looking beautiful, but I continue to use it every day. Its weight is limited by its size, so it doesn't feel like I'm carrying any weight at all. The strap folds neatly into the Tripp and the Tripp fits neatly into my tote, for times when I need to carry more. I should probably switch back to my wallet, but I keep delaying. It is turning out to be practical, well made, and lovely: Attributes I hope I also possess, lol.
I bought this bag on a whim while out with girlfriends at a fair. Had a few pangs of regret for spending so much for something I really didn't need, but since then I'm so glad I took the leap.
This bag is big enough to hold a fat wallet, cell phone, make up, and all kinds of little essentials one needs on a daily basis. It has a big strong zipper to keep it safely closed and sturdy hardware to keep it secure. The leather is soft and supple, but tough and doesn't scratch easily. The simple lines make it wearable for both casual and elegant outfits. I find it great for all sorts of shopping excursions (mall, farmer's market, grocery store) and even spontaneous dancing. And Yippee its made in the good old USA!
I've had this bag for three years now, and while I feel a little guilty for waiting so long to tell you how wonderful it is, it may be helpful to have some sense of how this bag ages with use—which is to say, not at all except to become more beautiful! I got the indigo, a beautiful rich navy. You can't put your whole world in this bag, but it holds the things I like to keep close when I'm walking around the city. Inside I have a slim cardholder (when I'm not using the built-in card slots, which are useful), a small change purse, phone, keys, lipstick, a small mirror and passport if I'm traveling. If I use the card slots, I can also fit sunglasses (in a soft case). For me, this works better than carrying around my whole life in one bag. If I need to carry more stuff (umbrella, book, whatever), I bring a tote. But the Tripp keeps my essentials close.
What I love most about this bag is the craftsmanship. It looks great and just feels so -right- when you're wearing it. I love the trim, tailored look, the feel of the pebbled leather, the gorgeous brass fittings and zipper, and the way the seams are finished—they're supersmooth and they just feel so nice, almost silky to the touch. To me this bag represents good value: Sometimes I look around in despair at our world of mass-produced stuff; it seems nobody knows how to -make- anything anymore! But Lotuff does, and the results are things of beauty that you can use and enjoy every day.
